The charming acrobat in the forest

The newly built house perfectly caters to the natural environment of the lesser panda, or the red bear-cat. It is a solitary animal, mainly active from dusk to dawn. The lesser panda is a skillful and acrobatic animal that predominantly stays and even sleeps in trees and eats fruits, insects and bamboo.

It has a charming, kitten-like face, cinnamon red fur and fluffy ringed tail and scent-marks its territories using anal glands and urine. Due to its sensitivity to the environment, specialized food, a naturally low birth rate and low inhabitation density, the lesser panda is a critically endangered animal worldwide.
