If you look across the street from the front gate of the zoo, there is a theme garden.

When do the seasonal flowers bloom?
A.

Cherry blossoms (mid-April) bloom in spring along the elephant train road in Seoul Grand Park, and you can see double cherry blossoms (end of April) when you enter the zoo, and in June, you can see white flowers on the Asian fringe tree that leads from the Ape Pavilion to Lion Temple in the zoo.

In summer, you can see roses, peonies, and peony flowers (May) in the themed garden, and you can see pale pink hibiscus mutabilis flowers (mid-August) in the green area in front of the management department and white Siberian chrysanthemum (mid-October) in the garden of Siberian chrysanthemum in autumn.

Where should we go to use the zoo trail and forest bathing area?
A.

From January 1, 2021, the forest bathing area and zoo trails are open free of charge.

It is open to the public for free and you cannot enter the zoo. If you look at the zoo from the front gate of the zoo and follow the road on the right, there is a separate entrance in front of the guard post after passing the bridge.

How can the Healing Forest be used?

The Healing Forest is only available to those who have made a reservation for the Forest Healing Program.

The Forest Healing Program operates from April to November every year, and you can participate through the Seoul public service reservation.

The plant garden is inside the zoo.

After entering the zoo, you can easily find it by passing the Ape Pavilion and following the lift line.

Since many animals at the zoo are nocturnal, visitors can see them in active state early morning.

What is the best way to look around the zoo, which is very large?
A.

The best way to enjoy the zoo is to take a lift to get to the highest point where Wild Beasts are found, and then walk down the hill.

Are pet animals allowed in Seoul Grand Park?
A.

All pet animals entering Seoul Grand Park must wear pet collars and ID tags. Pet owners must bring clean-up bags. Except for guide dogs for the blind, pet animals are not allowed to enter the zoo and the theme park.

What are items that cannot be brought to the zoo or theme garden?
A.

Pet animals, kickboards, bicycles, electric scooters (unicycles), electric toy cars, inline skaters, balls, and tents are not allowed in the zoo and botanical garden. Visitors with the abovementioned items may be denied entry.

※ Kindly note that the zoo and the theme park do not keep pet animals and valuable items including electric cars.

Animals at the zoo are regularly fed based on specific diet plans depending on the animal’s ecological characteristics. Feeding human food or grass picked from the surrounding area can cause negative reaction or illness.
