- Participants get a tree map and find and observe 21 kinds of trees in the zoo.

- Anyone can join the program for free, scheduled to be operated until March 31 next year.

- It will offer an instructive contactless trip in nature with a family in the COVID-19 era.

□ Seoul Grand Park expands the popular “Alone Tree Exploration” and runs a contactless botanical program “Tree Tour in the Zoo” until March 31 next year. “Tree Tour in the Zoo” is a contactless botanical program with the theme of a tour in search of 21 kinds of trees growing in the zoo, and you can enjoy the program for free without prior reservation.

□ This experience program is designed to take the place of the forest program, suspended in winter, and overseas travel, restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

□ Also, you can enjoy various trees and animals along the two recommended tour routes: Gorilla Trail under the zoo and Kapibara Trail at the top of the zoo. You can choose the route as you want while looking at the map. The tree map is provided at the main gate of the zoo, so you can enjoy the program by yourself.

What kind of trees can you see at the zoo?

□ First, Gorilla Trail starts with the Zelkova tree at the main entrance of the zoo, and you can see 12 kinds such as the jolcham oak tree with cute acorns, the cassia bark tree that presents a sweet scent in autumn, the three-flowered maple that arouses admiration with the beautiful autumn leaves, and the ginkgo tree. On the leaflet, you can find out about trees that you often meet but do not know well about and learn more about the characteristics of familiar trees.

□ Second, Kapibara Trail begins with Puma and Jaguar Enclosure, and you can see 9 types of trees with the golden-rain tree with lantern-shaped fruits, the lily tree that resembles tulips, the white pine tree with white bark, and hackberry colonies.

□ Whenever you look for a tree for each trail, read the tree story on the back of the leaflet and on the banner in front of the tree.

□ Landscape manager Kim Kang-hwan said, “I hope you go on a tree trip to Seoul Grand Park with your family to lift your mood and relieve your stress in the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.” “Please keep the personal quarantine rules such as wearing the mask, to prevent the spread of the virus,” he added.
