Established in 1984 for the purpose of creating a sanctuary of natural education for various animal and botanical researches, it also acts as a place for citizens to enjoy their leisure time in a healthy way with 77 species of animals in a 196,000㎡ area. Seoul Grand Park Zoo carries out the breeding, displaying and maintenance of animals and holds a variety of events (such as the Flamingo Show, Dolphin Show and presentations about animals) all year.
For the reproduction of the wild and indigenous birds displayed in Seoul Zoo, we select birds of a good stock in each species and artificially incubate their eggs while contributing to the preservation of endangered species of wild birds by providing each animal zoo with a hatchling.
